I am a political scientist at Musashi University in Tokyo, Japan. My research focuses upon the politics of economic globalization. I am interested in understanding how support for - or opposition to - open economic policies is formed and maintained. Much of my recent research has examined how citizens conceptualize and form attitudes toward globalization. My research has been published in Foreign Policy Analysis, International Politics , Research and Politics, The Japanese Journal of Political Science, Politics & Policy, and Asian Politics & Policy. At Musashi University, I teach courses on international relations, foreign policy, and international political economy in the Global Studies department of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
